Chamber music concert O'boey

O´boey – ensemble from Dalasinfoniettan. Music by, among others, Vivaldi, Mendelssohn and Händel. Musicians: Inken Menck and Hanna Svensson – oboe, Johannes Paulsson – violin and Filip Gloria – violin, Mats Hedrén – viola, David Gammelgård – cello and Are Boen Lauritzen – bassoon.

Alfvén Day
Saturday July 1, 2023 at 1 pm
Concert and scholarship award. Alfvéndagen is traditionally celebrated on the first Saturday in July. Bring the picnic basket, blanket or your own chair and enjoy a summer concert in the green!

Children's choir days
Thursday-Friday July 6-7, 2023 at 1 pm to 4 pm
Alfvéngården invites children aged 6-10 who enjoys singing to two afternoons of choral singing, musical games and snacks. To our help, we have choir masters Anna Moberg and Angelica Engstad from Leksands Kulturskola. The children's choir days are completed with a final concert on Friday July 7 at 3.30 pm. Welcome to sing with the children's choir at Alfvéngården!

Folk music concert: Grovt & grant

Presenting a concert with an extremely eloquent group of Swedish folk musicians: Emma Reid - violin, Sven Ahlbäck - violin, Mikael Marin - violoncello da spalla, Svante Söderqvist - double bass.

Alfvén, Wallén, Karlfeldt

The cultural program about Alfvén, Wallén, Karlfeldt 20-23 July starts at Alfvéngården. Meet three artists, all giants in their fields and with Leksand as a common denominator: Composer Hugo Alfvén, painter Gustaf Theodor Wallén and poet Erik Axel Karlfeldt. Lecture with writer Tobias Lund and pianist Melker Stendahl.

Hugo and Marie

Mini-opera about Hugo Alfvén and Marie Krøyer with Desiree Baraula, vocals and Markus Kvits, piano that interleaves a dozen of Hugo Alfvén's atmospheric songs with the piano suite for Bergakungen, perhaps his most powerful work.

Alfvén and Stenhammar – a friendship

Duo Gagge-Wada consists of cellist Klas Gagge from Sweden and pianist Kiyo Wada from Japan. They perform pieces from the concert program that Alfvén and Stenhammar played at their concerts in 1905.
